Excellent location, on walking distance from the main street with shops and restaurants and also close to the Avenue de Champagne. The hotel itself lies in a very quite environment, on a street with free parking space. It's a beautiful old building, also the rooms still have the old charm. The rooms are rather small, but cosy and they are very clean!! The hotel owners are the most charming and friendly people we've ever met. Very good service, nothing is too much asked. We would definitely recommend this place because of the good reception and good price!

The hotel recommended a private tour company of the Champagne region. The tour was the best tour in Epernay. Street parking was plentiful even on the weekends.
The toilet sounded like you would be sucked through the floor when you flushed. The breakfast consisted of yogart, pastries and coffee. No eggs, fruit or other choices. The beds were very small and thin mattress.

The welcome - before we saw the room.
Our room was apparently the most expensive in the 'hotel'. There was no room for a door on the toilet a curtain was all that could be fitted in. There was no door on the washing facility (I could not call it a bathroom) as if you bent over the washbasin one's posterior stuck out into the bedroom. The shower area was very small and only had a curtain which clung to you when trying to shower but worst of all there was nowhere to fix the shower head so you had to hold it whilst showering. We did mention the shower the next morning and were told, with a shrug of the shoulders, that a previous visitor had wrenched the rail for the shower off the wall.

Location is very good. Close walk to all Epernay attractions. The Villa is very inexpensive vs. other options.
The outdoor seating area is not intended to be used by guests who supply their own champagne.

The welcome: the gentleman in charge is friendly. And the location as it is a short walk to the main centre. The breakfast was good.
The noise element: the loo was a disintegrator and it made a tremendous noise. We did not use it after ten but some others did. The walls are paper thin and noisy individuals are rather a menace.

Convenient to train station, good breakfast.
Thin walls, lack of toilet privacy, street parking is hit-or-miss.

The owner was very friendly and helpful, arranging a larger room for us to fit with our baby. Breakfast (additional charge) was great and highly recommended. A very good affordable accommodation to explore the Champagne region.
